The innovative and sophisticated piston system from EISENHORN provides a highly efficient training experience with precisely adjustable resistance in both directions — concentric and eccentric. With 12 main levels and 11 half-levels, you can fine-tune the resistance to your exact needs, allowing for training loads ranging from 6 to 112 kg on the EISENHORN S, and up to 224 kg on the EISENHORN DS.

Training with increasing strength curve

Every EISENHORN strenght station is manufactured with the patented piston system. This perfected system provides an advantage typically only found in high-end devices.

In the lower levels (1-7), the training weight remains constant during the movement, as with classic weight plate training equipment. From weight level 8 onwards, you then benefit from the principle of increasing resistance curve.

Training stimulus

Your training weight slightly increases during the movement, providing perfect training conditions.

This way, you benefit from a more intense training stimulus, higher training effect throughout the entire range of motion, and consequently maximum training progress.

Inspired by professional athletes

In advanced strength training, the use of the ascending strength curve is a proven standard. Elite athletes such as Manuel Guyer use targeted training setups such as barbells with chains to create this effect - because the ability to move the training weight is directly related to the joint angle.

That sense of pressure — I’ve never experienced it with any other device.

Since the force we can generate during an exercise varies depending on the phase of movement, this results in a theoretically optimal load curve. This principle is especially effective in complex exercises such as squats, bench presses, and deadlifts. To achieve maximum training stimulus for each repetition, a progressive approach is necessary — particularly during the final phase of the movement. Gradually increasing the training weight ensures continuous muscle engagement and has proven to be a safe and effective method for improving both strength and speed.

Training weight on EISENHORN power stations

With the EISENHORN strenght station, you can adjust your training weight precisely in 12 main stages. In addition, you have 11 intermediate stages available - this way you can fine-tune the weight and train even more efficiently.

So that you know which training weight you are using during your workout, we have broken down the individual levels into a training weight in kilograms.

Kolben 12 – bis zu 51 kg Trainingsgewicht
Kolben 12 – bis zu 51 kg Trainingsgewicht

With the piston 12, you train at level 1.5, for example with 7.5 kg. With the stronger Piston 26 you are already training at level 1.5 with 16.25 kg.

Kolben 26 – bis zu 224 kg Trainingsgewicht
Kolben 26 – bis zu 224 kg Trainingsgewicht

The standard piston 12 on the EISENHORN S covers a resistance range up to 51 kg, and the more powerful piston 26 allows for up to 112 kg of training weight.

With our EISENHORN DS with two pistons 26, you can achieve a total weight of up to 224 kg - ideal for experienced athletes with maximum training goals.

Conclusion

Training on EISENHORN strenght stations is highly efficient. Like professional athletes, you train from level 8 onwards with an increasing strength curve, thus setting the maximum possible training stimuli.

With the optional piston 26, you can train with up to 112 kg on the EISENHORN S and up to 224 kg on the EISENHORN DS.
