Periodization
Periodization is a planned sequence of different training phases designed to avoid overtraining and achieve targeted progress. Instead of always training the same way, one systematically alternates between intensity, volume, and exercise selection. This method is particularly common in competitive sports, but it is also highly beneficial for recreational athletes to maintain motivation and avoid a training plateau.
