Infraspinatus muscle

The infraspinatus muscle is located on the back of the shoulder blade, just below the spine of the scapula. It is part of the so-called rotator cuff, a group of muscles that stabilize the shoulder joint and enable precise movements. The infraspinatus is primarily responsible for externally rotating the upper arm and securing the shoulder joint when push or pull forces are applied. During training on your EISENHORN strength station, it is engaged in many pulling movements and in exercises where the arms are guided sideways. A strong infraspinatus is essential for preventing shoulder injuries and for performing movements in a stable and controlled manner.
