HIT (High Intensity Training)
HIT (High-Intensity Training) is a training approach in which few but extremely intense sets are performed close to or until complete muscle failure Instead of focusing on high volume, HIT emphasizes maximum effort per set, making the training very short but highly effective. Often, one to two sets per exercise are sufficient to create the desired muscle stimulus.
This involves both basic exercises (Big 5) as well as targeted isolation exercises. The goal is to demand maximum hypertrophy from the muscle and stimulate strength gains, while keeping the workout time-efficient.
When focusing on intensity, good technique is crucial to avoid injuries. High-Intensity Training (HIT) can be combined with long recovery periods between training days to provide the body with optimal rest and regeneration.
