Calf raise standing eccentric

Preparation

Secure the sled so that the handlebar is at thigh height. Place a stable elevation (e.g. board or thick book) on the floor.

Starting position

Stand in front of the handle bar with closed leg position. Stand on the elevation with the balls of your feet and stretch your calves.

Execution

Grasp the handlebar with an underhand grip and arms outstretched. Push both legs up from the calves. Then slowly move back again, bending one leg at a time.

Hint

The exercise has the focus on the eccentric movement. This is why both legs are used when pressing up to push the resistance up well. When coming down, only one leg is used to provide a stronger muscle stimulus.
