Calf raise standing eccentric

Preparation

Secure the sled so that the Handle bar is level with your thighs. Place a stable elevation (e.g. board or thick book) on the floor.

Starting position

Stand in front of the Handle bar with your legs closed. Stand with the balls of your feet on the elevation and stretch the calf.

Execution

With arms outstretched, grasp the Handle bar with an underhand grip. Push both legs up from the calves. Then slowly move back again, bending one leg at a time.

Hint

The exercise focuses on the eccentric movement. This is why both legs are used when pressing up to push the resistance up well. When coming down, only one leg is used to create a stronger muscle stimulus.
