Upright row with close grip


Fix the carriage in the lower part of the column. Attach handle strap and insert handle bar into both handle loops.

Starting position

Stand relatively far back with legs hip-width apart and upper body upright and stable. Grasp the handle bar tightly in an overhand grip. Full body tension.


Pull the handle bar up close to the body to under the chin. At the end point upper arms are parallel to the floor.


Avoid swinging with the lower and upper body and ensure a stable, straight neck position (avoid "vulture neck"!). If necessary, shorten the grip bands with the help of a knot to have the arms stretched at the beginning of the exercise.
