Chest muscles
The chest muscles – especially the pectoralis major – are responsible for pushing movements, such as extending the arms forward, and are part of the accessory respiratory muscles. Together with the triceps and anterior shoulder muscles, they form the powerhouse for exercises such as the classic chest press.
On the EISENHORN strenght station, this movement can be performed using the grab bar, horn, grip tapes, or cable pulley – lying down, sitting, or standing with stable core tension. To specifically shape and strengthen the chest, pressing exercises such as lateral chest press, butterfly, or push-ups with grip tape are recommended.
Since the chest muscles work closely with the shoulders and arms, they especially benefit from a holistic training concept like MIKE5.
