Intramuscular coordination

Intramuscular coordination describes the ability to simultaneously and efficiently control as many muscle fibers as possible within a single muscles. It is especially decisive for maximal strength training, as a better rate of recruitment of muscle fibers extracts more power from the existing muscle volume.

This ability can be particularly well developed through heavy basic exercises, such as deadlifts, squats, or shoulder press, where high intensity and precise technique are required.
