Rhomboids
The rhomboids (musculi rhomboidei major and minor) are located between the shoulder blades and the spine and play a key role in posture. Their primary function is to draw the shoulder blades together and stabilize them inward. This contributes significantly to an upright and stable posture. They work closely with the trapezius and are essential for maintaining a healthy balance in the back musculature. During training on the EISENHORN strength station, the rhomboids are particularly engaged during rowing exercises or movements that pull the shoulder blades backward. Well-developed muscles in this area not only enhance upper body strength but also help prevent tension and postural problems.
