Calf muscle

The gastrocnemius and the underlying soleus—together known as the calf muscles—are essential power generators of the body. They extend the foot and provide stability during walking, jumping, and running. The calves are especially active in functional movements such as squats and jumping exercises. At the EISENHORN strenght station, they can be specifically trained through standing or seated calf Raises. Even during basic exercises, the calves are engaged. Strong calf muscles not only enhance leg strength but also improve circulation and support overall mobility.
