HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) combines phases of maximum strain with short recovery intervals. While HIT (High-Intensity Training) primarily targets strength and muscle building, HIIT is especially popular in the cardio area, but is sometimes also used in strength training.

A typical HIIT workout could consist of 30 seconds of sprinting followed by 30 seconds of walking, repeated over several rounds. Exercises such as burpees, jumping squats, or kettlebell swings can be incorporated into the interval training routine.

HIIT not only increases oxygen uptake and fat burning but also improves muscular endurance and overall performance. Due to the high strain in a short period of time, HIIT is particularly suitable for people with tight schedules, but it requires a solid basic fitness level to avoid overloading.

Combined with the basic exercises from the MIKE5 Training Concept, these workouts create a comprehensive and efficient full-body training program.
