Teres minor

The teres minor is a small but important muscle that belongs to the rotator cuff. It runs along the posterior edge of the shoulder blade and attaches to the upper arm bone. Like the infraspinatus, the teres minor is responsible for external rotation of the arm and also plays a significant role in stabilizing the shoulder joint. Despite its small size, it is highly important because it complements and supports the shoulder musculature.
