The EISENHORN DS is our ultimate power machine. With the DS power station, you can increase your direct max training weight up to 224 kg (2x optional piston 26 necessary). Even our strongest customers reach their limits with it. Additionally, with the EISENHORN DS, you have the possibility of asynchronous movement guidance (left/right) and different weight settings (left/right). The column length of the EISENHORN DS is 165 cm, the same length as the EISENHORN S.

Upgrading from the EISENHORN S to the EISENHORN DS is possible without any issues. If you plan to mount two EISENHORN S units side by side, we recommend a distance of 60 cm between them and the use of the DS mounting kit.

With the piston 26, you can increase the maximum resistance from 112 kg to 2 × 112 kg (a total of 224 kg). The dual station also allows asynchronous movements on the left and right sides, making it ideal for athletic training and specific rehabilitation exercises after injuries. In addition, the dual station can be expanded with two cable pulls to create a dual cable tower, adding even more variety to your workouts.

However, we recommend deciding between the EISENHORN S and the EISENHORN DS before purchasing. Compared to buying two individual strenght stations, the EISENHORN DS is the more cost-effective solution.

One of the greatest advantages of your strength station EISENHORN S or DS is the safety it offers when training with heavy weights. Performance athletes especially appreciate the system because they can train to muscle failure without a training partner. The weight is easily and safely set down on the last repetition. The only difference between the standard and black columns is the color: the standard column features a neutral, hard-anodized aluminum profile, while the black column stands out with a high-quality black finish. Both versions have the same functionality and are made from the same materials.

For exercises such as pull-ups or other hanging movements on the EISENHORN strength station, the use of the blocker is necessary. The blocker is included with both, the EISENHORN S and EISENHORN DS, available in standard column lengths. According to EN standards, the maximum load when the device is blocked is 100 kg of body weight. For the EISENHORN DS, this limit is correspondingly higher.

Yes, pull-ups can be done on the EISENHORN fitness station S or DS! To do this, you need to set up the multi-gym using the blocker (max. 100 kg body weight), which locks the machine in place for such exercises. You can then train safely until you reach muscle fatigue. You can find detailed instructions in our exercise database, for example under the ‘Chin-up to the chest’ exercise.

The 12-notch piston provides finely graded weight adjustment, allowing you to make precise changes to your training. The individual stages of the 12-notch piston range from 6 kg to 51 kg, so you can adjust the weight optimally to your fitness level and training goals. With Variable Resistance Training (VRT), you can precisely control training intensity and maximize the efficiency of your workout. This allows you to increase the total weight naturally and in small increments, without relying on a heavy, fixed weight.

With the standard piston, you can train up to 51 kg, while the 26 piston allows training up to 112 kg. We recommend adding the piston 26 directly when purchasing your EISENHORN S. This way, you benefit from the advantageous set discount.

Alternatively, you can follow the example of many other customers and opt for an EISENHORN DS . With the two standard pistons, the EISENHORN DS allows a training weight up to 102 kg, which can be increased to up to 224 kg with two optional piston 26. Additionally, with the EISENHORN DS, you benefit from the asynchronous movement guidance option (left / right) and different weight settings (left / right). With two optional cable pulls , you can expand your EISENHORN DS into a full double cable pull station.

The piston 12 is an integral part of the standard delivery and cannot be replaced by the piston 26. However, the piston 26 can be purchased as an additional accessory. The piston 12 is included for a reason — it provides challenging training opportunities even for our strongest athletes and is necessary for precise, finely graded strength adjustments in certain exercises. Using only the piston 26 is not recommended, as it may limit your training and prevent you from performing some exercises optimally.

For training with two cable pulleys, we recommend the following:

• EISENHORN DS: This model allows simultaneous training for two people and offers the option to use two cable pulls in parallel.

• EISENHORN S: The use of a single cable pull is supported.

The cable pulley functions mechanically as a pulley system with three wheels. This means that the weight you are lifting is effectively three times lighter in the pulling direction, allowing you to train with very low and finely graded weights. This enables precise, finely tuned, and lower weight settings — perfect for long-range, varied workouts.

The flexible handlebar is a well-thought-out design feature of your EISENHORN strength station. The unstable posture it creates activates the entire body, resulting in more intense and holistic training. In particular, the deeper muscles, especially in the trunk and around the joints, are engaged more effectively. It is therefore a deliberate enhancement for your workouts. The design cabinet S or design cabinet DS is untreated and therefore currently available in one color tone. If you want to customize the wood, you can easily treat it yourself. Oak wood can be excellently refined with oil and can be brought to almost any desired color tone. You can find the appropriate products at the hardware store or from a local carpenter.

The EISENHORN DS allows you to train with weights of up to 224 kg. The weight set on a conventional leg press is often confused with the actual movement weight. The 260 kg displayed on the leg press usually does not correspond to the actual weight you are moving. On conventional leg presses, the weight is reduced by deflection and the inclined seating position. The exercise on a leg press training machine therefore differs from the leg press on an EISENHORN multi-gym.

The EISENHORN fitness station offers an enormous training weight - even for our strongest athletes such as Manuel Guyer. Exercises such as squats or leg presses provide you with a challenging workout at the highest level. If you can lift 260 kg on a classic leg press, you will love the challenge and versatility of EISENHORN training and reach your full potential.

You will find the numbers 1 to 12 directly on your horn. Each level and intermediate level corresponds to a matching training weight in kilograms.

The 12-level piston offers finely graduated weight adjustment, allowing you to make precise adjustments for your workout. The individual levels in the 12-level piston range from 6 kg to 51 kg, so you can optimally adjust the weight to your fitness level and training goals. Variable Resistance Training (VRT) allows you to precisely control the training intensity and maximise the efficiency of your workout. This enables you to increase the total weight naturally and with fine gradation without having to rely on a heavy, fixed weight.

For a smooth workout on your fitness station EISENHORN S or DS clean the running surfaces regularly with a damp cloth (without lubricating cleaners). The aluminum profile is hard-anodized and extremely durable, so the carriage glides even more smoothly after a few training sessions. Any initial abrasion marks can be easily wiped away.

Der Kolben ist ein Industrieprodukt, gebaut für tägliche Langzeitnutzung: 96 % der Kundschaft trainiert zehn Jahre nach dem Kauf noch mit dem Originalkolben. Diese Auswertung überprüfen wir einmal jährlich.

Den Kolben deklarieren wir dennoch offiziell als Ersatzteil: Er ist ein technisches Bauteil unter Druck und wird irgendwann gewechselt. Wie lange dein Kolben hält, hängt auch von der Handhabung ab. Verkürzt wird die Lebensdauer praktisch nur durch Gewalt von aussen. Ein Beispiel: Wer mit einem spitzen Gegenstand gegen die Kolbenstange schlägt, hinterlässt eine Macke. Die Macke beschädigt die Dichtung, und der Kolben muss ersetzt werden. Darauf muss man es allerdings anlegen. Im normalen Trainingsbetrieb entsteht ein solcher Schaden nicht.

In feuchteren Räumen kann sich auf den Schraubenköpfen mit der Zeit ein feiner rötlicher Film bilden – sogenannter Flugrost. Er entsteht aus feinsten Eisenpartikeln von aussen (Raumluft, Werkzeuge, im Trainingsumfeld auch Schweiss), sitzt nur obenauf und greift die Schraube nicht an; der Stahl ist durch die Zinkschicht geschützt. Wisch ihn bei Gelegenheit mit einem weichen Tuch und einem milden Mittel ab, dann sind die Schrauben wieder wie neu.

Vorbeugen kannst du mit einem dünnen, wasserabweisenden Fettfilm auf den Schraubenköpfen – er hält Feuchtigkeit und fremde Partikel fern. Geeignet ist alles, was stabil bleibt und nicht verharzt oder ranzig wird, zum Beispiel Vaseline, Melkfett, Wachs (etwa Bienenwachs) oder ein Pflege- bzw. Nähmaschinenöl. Hauchdünn mit dem Finger oder einem Tuch auftragen und bei Gelegenheit erneuern.

Übrigens: Der Belag entsteht durch fremde Eisenpartikel, nicht durch das Schraubenmaterial – deshalb würden auch Edelstahl- bzw. INOX-Schrauben ihn nicht verhindern; er träte dort genauso auf.

Die aktuelle Generation, eingeführt im Sommer 2025, ist ausgesprochen langlebig: Im Prüfstandtest hält sie über 30'000 Bewegungszyklen bei maximaler Belastung (Kolben 26 auf Stufe 12), ohne zu reissen.

Trotzdem bleibt das Knotenseil ein Funktionselement, das du im Blick behältst. Sein elastisches Verhalten unter Last erzeugt das geschmeidige, natürliche Trainingsgefühl – und macht es zugleich zu einem Verschleissteil. Deshalb machst du bei jeder Nutzung eine kurze Sichtprüfung: Zeigt die Seilhülle Beschädigungen oder andere Auffälligkeiten, tausch das Seil aus.

Wie stark ein Seil beansprucht wird, hängt vor allem von der Anzahl der Bewegungszyklen und der gewählten Gewichtsstufe ab. Mit Kolben 12 ist die Last gering, mit Kolben 26 im oberen Kraftbereich höher – der Verschleiss bleibt dabei normal, planbar und frühzeitig erkennbar. Für die volle Funktion und Sicherheit gehören ausschliesslich originale Knotenseile ans Gerät.

The installation of your fitness station EISENHORN S or DS on a wooden wall is possible in most cases – however, the exact suitability depends on the construction and type of wood. Different types of wood and wall structures have different stability and characteristics.

Generally, you can use the supplied dowels, but there are also special wall constructions that require an individual solution. If you are unsure, please check the construction method, wall thickness, and material (e.g. solid wood or chipboard) and contact us – we are happy to help you further.

To be able to perform all fitness exercises without limitations, you should mount your EISENHORN strength station 40 cm above the ground — this recommended height applies to all models.

If the strength station is mounted with less than the recommended 40 cm clearance, some exercises may be restricted due to the lower grip height.

We recommend a mounting height of 40 cm above the floor. This allows you to perform all exercises without restrictions.

When EISENHORN S (use from a ceiling height of 210 cm), you will reach a maximum grip height of 228 cm at the recommended mounting height. If you use the blocker (e.g. for pull-ups), this increases to 231 cm.

For low ceilings and sloped roofs, the EISENHORN S Short is a suitable option. With the recommended mounting height, this results in a maximum grip height of 180 cm.

When training with the cable pulley on your EISENHORN strength station, the knot rope is essential. Its elasticity ensures a smooth training experience. Proper installation is crucial for durability and safe use. Here’s how to do it:

1. Insert the knot rope together with the nut into the groove of the column.

2. Tighten the screws of the T-nut to a torque of 4 Nm. Make sure there is enough space for your exercises.

For the EISENHORN DS, fastening is done on the two outer slots.

The EISENHORN S strength station is perfect for space-saving training, requiring just 2 m². After installation, the EISENHORN extends about one meter from the wall during use. On an area of 120 x 190 cm, you can perform over 80% of your exercises on the EISENHORN strength station. An additional clearance of about 60 cm on either side is ideal.

For certain loop exercises, we recommend planning an additional 60 cm of space in front of the station. This allows you to position yourself optimally and train effectively. You can find more helpful information in our exercise overview.

Sure, you can also mount your EISENHORN S on a post. Similar to mounting on a solid wall, the material composition is important for this method as well.   

If your post is less than 21 cm wide, you will need an additional support plate. This is important because the outer edge of your EISENHORN column must be supported to optimally transfer the training force to the supporting structure - your column. Your support plate must be at least 21 cm wide and exactly as long as your EISENHORN column. We recommend using 19–20 mm thick multiplex for the material. This way, your support plate provides sufficient stability for mounting on a post.

Yes, you can install and use your EISENHORN S or DS outdoors as well. However, pay attention to the following points:

• We recommend a mounting location that protects your EISENHORN power station from wind, rain, snow, and direct sunlight. Carports or covered terraces are ideal for this.

• The EISENHORN column is equipped with a protective layer (hard anodized) and can also be mounted freely outdoors. For additional protection against flash rust, you should seal the mounting screws with a layer of paint.

• The horn, piston, and wooden sled should be stored dry if the fitness station is not protected against rain, snow, or direct sun. This way, your EISENHORN always stays in top shape!
