Calf muscle
The Musculus gastrocnemius and the underlying soleus – together known as the calf muscle – are essential powerhouses of the body. They extend the foot and provide stabilization during walking, jumping, and running. Especially during functional movements like squats or jump exercises, the calves are active. They can be specifically trained on a power station like EISENHORN S or DS through standing or seated calf raises. Even in the training of basic exercises, the calves are trained. A strong calf musculature not only enhances leg strength but also improves circulation and supports overall flexibility.
