Power training
Power training improves the ability, to exert maximum strength in minimal time – crucial for explosive movements like sprints, jumps, or throws. It is usually trained with medium to light loads (30–60% of the 1RM – maximum weight that can be moved in a single repetition), but with maximum movement speed and long breaks for full recovery. Exercises like jump squats, medicine ball throws, or kettlebell swings are typical.
