Pectoral muscles
The pectoral muscles – especially the large pectoral muscle (pectoralis major) – are responsible for pressing movements like extending the arm forward and are part of the respiratory auxiliary muscles. Together with the triceps and anterior shoulder muscles, they form the power center for exercises like the classic bench press. At a power station EISENHORN S or DS, this movement can be performed using a barbell, horn, grip bands or cable pulley – lying, sitting, or standing with stable core tension. To specifically shape and strengthen the chest, pressing exercises, such as side chest press, can be combined with exercises like butterfly or push-ups with grip band. Since the pectoral muscles work closely with the shoulders and arms, these muscle groups particularly benefit from a holistic training concept like MIKE5.
