Mounting from the horn – for a smooth training experience

Important

  • The two big axle srews (M10) must be tightened evenly on both sides. Change sides several times (according to the assembly instructions 12-15Nm).
  • The axle bolts are therefore tightened securely. Please note, however, that you must not overdo this. This could jam the spacer rings. This can provoke an unpleasant noise during training. The bearing is designed so that there is residual play between the horn and the two spacer rings (floating bearing). Make sure that the two spacer rings can rotate freely after tightening the screws (M10).
  • Also make sure that you only insert the stop bolt (10 mm steel axle) loosely. The small side screws (M6) must not be tightened.
  • Also make sure that the tooth surfaces (1-12) are always slightly moisturized. This reduces friction and prevents possible noise generation. We recommend using a silicone grease (odorless and colorless). If not available, commercially available hand cream can also be applied. This has (almost) the same effect as a normal lubricant, but with one decisive advantage: if you accidentally reach in, you won’t have any grease or oil on your fingers 😉
